I love to snuggle in the winter, especially with coco. My taste buds have changed drastically since I turned vegan so this coco is a reclamation to my new taste buds and will hopefully be a delish, velvety brew of creamy coconut and deep bitter chocolate!
The only sugar added is from the cocowhip, try it before adding sugar; it is a very earthy, smooth treat.
Always cook with an open heart and mind AND clean ingredients!
HOT CACAO FOR ONE
Meditate and affirm the self-care and love you would like to give yourself. Treat this as a loving gift to yourself.
1 CUP Alternative Milk
(I made my own Cashew/Almond Milk)
2 TBSP Cacao Nibs
1 Star Anise
1 DASH of Cinnamon
2 DASH of Nutmeg
1 DOLLOP of CocoWhip by So Delicious
Sprinkle of Salt
In a small pot or sauce pan add “milk,” star anise, cinnamon, and nutmeg. In a coffee grinder or food processor or blender, whatever you have handy, grind cacao to a powder. Turn heat to medium-low. Then add cacao powder and use a whisk to mix all ingredients. Bring mixture to a simmer, do not let contents come to a boil. Once the coco is warm pour into your favorite mug. Then top with a dollop of CocoWhip and some sea salt.
This luscious brew is a ritual to awaken the senses! The combined ingredients is an offering to ground your inner guidance with love and grace, while soothing one with gratitude and self-care.
